Immerse yourself in ranching history. Free cake and coffee served at the cookhouse to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Parks Canada, the first National Park system in the world.

Bride’s Boot Camp, Hiking or Riding Boots
Married or not, give ‘im the boot and bring your “Gal Pals” out to the country for some rootin’ tootin’ fun! One day and weekend packages available.
This Girlfriend Getaway weekend away includes 2 nights accommodation at working cattle ranches in some of the oldest cattle country in Alberta with home-cooked meals featuring many locally grown products and an itinerary to keep everyone busy! But there will be time to just relax or take a nap. Our visitors will enjoy some down-home hospitality in wide-open country – meet story-tellers and other local talent from the area.
Dust off your riding boots and your hiking boots to join us for an entire weekend! Or opt for one or the other and come out for just the day.
- Hiking Boot Camp: See our local Wildflowers and Plants while hiking through some spectacular scenery; learn more about their uses and benefits during a Native Garden Workshop; take a guided-Ranch Tour to explore more about the rich ranching history this region has to offer.
- Riding Boot Camp: Guided Range Tours offer a different perspective where you can learn about our native plants; Horseback Riding in the sacred Porcupine Hills with chances to see birds of prey or Mountain Bluebirds; Historic Ranch Tour of the Oxley Ranch - old foundations and tepee rings.
Weekend: $590/person. Day Hiking: $165/person. Day Riding: $305/person.
