Dame Janet is a western artist that provides pieces featuring oil paintings of western landscapes and the lifestyle enjoyed by our local cowboys.
Fine pencil sketches and charcoal artwork add to her repertoire for greeting cards, stationary and book illustrations.
Ask about custom orders that include your brand or ranch. Perfect for the honoured place on your wall or for those invitations and bulletins that need a special, western touch.

Janet was raised on a farm/ranch in the foothills of Alberta just south west of High River. It was inevitable that the ranching way of life with horses, cowboys and cows would be the motivation that fueled her passion to draw and paint throughout her life to present time.
As a budding artist, Janet experimented with a variety of mediums . . . one of which was her sister's eyeliner pencil; not such a wise choice when caught red handed! She created her first original oil painting using her mother’s personal collection of used household paints.
To this day her favorite medium is still oils, just a little higher quality. It doesn't seem to matter what one paints or draws, if it comes from the heart it will be filled with emotion, rewarding the artist, and enjoyed by the viewer.
