Grande Dame Joyce specializes in cowgirl poetry, Christian comedian and as an entertainer for family or community events.
Her second book of Hanks’ writings “Bulls, Brands and B.S: Brand Inspector’s Stories” was released the spring of 2010 and the small, gift-type book of Cowboy Poetry with artistic illustrations by Don Brestler of Twin Butte, AB., entitled “Lingo and Lines From a Cowboy’s Life and a Cowboy’s Wife” has been a popular addition to her collection of stories about our region’s early ranching heritage which includes the title "Smoke From the Branding Fire" .

As a performer, she impersonates the Grand Old Opry legend "Minnie Pearl" and has won many awards at the Canadian Country Gospsel Music Awards, as well as Entertainer of the Year in 2010.
Grande Dame Joyce enjoys writing and performing poetry - her love for people is shown through her creativity, her sense of humour, and her enthusiastic personality as ‘Minnie Pearl’ and ‘Minnie, The Reminiscer’.
She and her husband, Edwin roam southern Alberta, going to various venues and their sentimental appreciation of the rural lifestyle is demonstrated with every visit. Good people!
