The Oxley Ranch was established in 1882 making our ranch one of the oldest working cattle ranches in western Canada. Ranch headquarters are located in the rugged valley bottom. Willow Creek runs through the heart of the ranch, drawing wildlife to her banks while birds-of-prey dot the sky and rest watchfully in the old cotton wood trees. This tranquil location is the ranch’s crowning glory, a paradise for both man and beast.
Oxley Ranch Tours specialise in Equine-Eco-Tours and all of our ranch tours have a strong environmental focus offering guests a variety of ways to enjoy the ranch . . . all in the company of a horse.

Ranch life suits me. I enjoy the changing seasons and being outside to enjoy every minute of it.
Growing up on a ranch, I was free to roam and growing up a wild child. Completely content, with my skinned knees, tangled hair and dirty face. I did manage to grow up a bit but never left the ranch.
Continuing to run the ranch as a cow calf operation is a challenge that I enjoy. Checking and moving the cows or taking our guests on a Ranch Tour. I saddle up and ride . . . for me it’s just another day in paradise. The Oxley will always be my home on the range.
